I moved to the University of Liverpool to start my own research group in the Department of Mathematical Sciences in November 2022, where I was appointed as a Lecturer in Mathematics for Healthcare. I had a period of maternity leave in 2024-2025.
I have 11 years experience in mathematical modelling of infectious diseases in humans, animals and plants at the Universities of Exeter, Bristol and Oxford. See the "Research page" for a full list of projects I am currently working on.
I like to take a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach in my research and to work directly with policy makers in order to maximise the impact of my work. I was awarded the Royal Society Rapid Assistance for Modelling the Pandemic (RAMP) Early Career Investigator Award and the SPI-M-O Award for Modelling and Data Support for my research on COVID-19, as a member of the JUNIPER consortium.
I am passionate about investing in and supporting those within my group and strive to create a research culture where individuals can flourish personally and professionally.
